Lodging in CR

If you find your way to CR, like dogs, prefer non-traditional lodging and enjoy getting off the beaten path, I strongly recommend staying at the Lighthouse in Atenas. Pictures do not do justice. Frances and Bruce welcome you as family. For me, it's a great way to completely unwind. See more at their Airbnb page.

Trip to Grecia

Morning views
Morning Clouds
Woke up this morning to beautiful clouds sitting like soft cotton in the valleys below.  The day promised to be drier than yesterday, although there was still rain in the area.

Falls on the road to Grecia
After a workout at the gym and sitting in a coffee shop reading, I met up with Frances for a trip to Grecia, a neighboring town.  Grecia has a beautiful church made of thick sheets of steel.  Apparently, some company had a surplus of steel back in the early 1950's and donated it to Grecia for this purpose.  The old coffee road - a cobblestone road - that goes from the port to Grecia goes right by Frances and Bruce's house.  Must have been quite the ordeal.
